Frustrating things Children Say

When children say frustrating things, they may be just part of his or her behavioral and linguistic development. However, the real challenge for you is to be courteous while you let your child assert himself or herself.

Some of the frustrating things that children say include the word ‘mine!’ This usually drives a parent crazy when a child insists on a toy and quarrels with his or her sibling or siblings and claim that the toy is his or hers. A good way to react to this is to let these little tots see the error of their ways that might confuse them yet keeps your cool in the face of this stubbornness. For a kid who insists that everything is his or her possession, simply keep saying ‘sorry’.

Another thing that kids say is ‘it’s not fair’ and crosses his or her arm and stomp   away and then comes back to you and repeats the words again. A good way to respond to this is to explain to your child why it is not possible that he or she should always get his or her way. Explain to your child that even adults do not get everything they want.
