The development for an Angry Birds movie is being hatched with the aid of former Marvel Studios executive. Nevertheless, the movie will not hit theaters until 2014. The creator of Angry Birds movie, Rovio hired David Maisel, the former Marvel Studios chairman as special adviser.
There has been too much said about the movie, but not it is for real. The process is beginning now. Rovio’s latest step is to expand the movie franchise to feature films. The company purchased Finnish animation studio Kombo, which would start working on short films and using the characters form the movie. Nevertheless, the development of the full-length movie will take three to four years to finish.
Rovio is betting huge on the continued popularity of the movie franchise which has been around only for a couple of years. The next three to four years will determine whether the fans will continue to be loyal to the movie or will they move on to something else. Angry birds will soon become a full-length film with words and characters and everything. The film is indeed happening and the best thing that anyone can do is hope that it will arrive in the minimal distressing share possible.
