It’s a sad fact that earning money illegally is getting easier nowadays. One method that is really upsetting is disability fraud. Disability fraud is when a person claim benefits for disabilities that do not exist. In other words, they pretend that they have disability to claim benefits. In both medical and legal terms, disability does not always mean a person who is physically handicapped. There are various conditions which are not visible physically but are still considered as disabilities.

Kinds of disability fraud may include doing legitimate work regardless of claiming to the suffering form a disability. It has been found that individuals who suffer form several invisible disabilities are working in jobs that they claim they could not do while they enjoy the benefits of being disabled.

Another kind is pretending to suffer form any injury. People pretend to suffer from some forms of diseases that even doctors could not prove wrong. Thus, they deliberately pretend to be disabled to enjoy the benefits provided by several agencies. Moreover, continuing to claim benefits even after one recovers from disability is rampant. Not all disabilities are permanent and people could be cured everyday. However, there are people who continue claiming benefits for years and years even when they are cured.
